Ho Chi Minh City University of Law operates eight faculties and three institutes as South Vietnam's leading institution of legal education with an extensive international cooperation network in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, the Netherlands, Korea, Singapore, Sweden, Russia, Japan and the United Kingdom. The institution is also looking forward to expanding its pool of research and teaching partners by involving the University of Debrecen. This was the objective of a visit by Deputy Rector Tran Viet Dung and his delegation at the Faculty of Law of UD on Wednesday.
During the course of their meeting with Vice Rector Károly Pető, Director of Coordination and Strategy Okszána Kiszil and representatives of the Faculty of Law of the University of Debrecen, they reviewed, among other things, the educational, research and innovation portfolio of our university, as well as its infrastructure and international relations. Potential areas of cooperation between the two institutions were agreed upon and the document about the agreement was signed by Károly Pető and Tran Viet Dung.
This partnership is expected to include research collaborations, joint undergraduate, masters and doctoral programs, mobility for students, teachers and researchers, as well as the promotion of publications and the organization of conferences.
The Vietnamese delegation started detailed discussions immediately with the representatives of the Faculty of Law, including Dean Veronika Szikora, Deputy Dean for Development Henriett Nádasné Rab, member of the Faculty Development Committee Zsolt Hajnal, Secretary of Marton Géza Állam- és Jogtudományok Doktori Iskola [Marton Géza Doctoral School of Law] Márton Leó Zaccaria and Head of the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Law Petra Várbíró.
Following the meeting at our Kassai úti campus, Deputy Rector Tran Viet Dung and his delegation also visited the Main Building of the university.
