The two-week-old filly is already becoming increasingly interested in the world beyond the stalls, but only in the company of his mother, Gidrán XXIV-121 Igaz óvó. The filly, which still spends most of the day eating, sleeping and lying down, was conceived by artificial insemination with the help of the university's specialists, and although Igaz was four days overdue, the little filly was born without complications on 14 April.
With white markings on all four legs and a regular star sign on her forehead, the little filly was given the rare and unique name Ingó, alongside the abbreviation UD, which indicates her pedigree.
Ingó is the third foal of the 18-year-old mane by the University-owned Mikes P /Kohelian XIII-40/, who has been owned by the Riding Academy since 2021 /. The sire is well known to the students, as he is involved in the equestrian courses of the Faculty of Agriculture, in the daily practical training of students of the equestrian, stud breeding, horse breeding programs and equestrian sport manager courses.
The foal's future may follow a similar course, as she will stay with her mother until she is six months old, and after weaning she will be sent to a stud farm in the area, from where she will be brought back to the Riding Academy at the age of three. After break-in, she will become a school horse.
