The program starts in September of each year.
 
All courses are taught in English; therefore, an Upper-B2 level English proficiency is required.
 

Admission requires a strong knowledge of biology and environmental sciences, and a BSc diploma in biology, environmental sciences, or in a related discipline in natural sciences.

 
This is a 2-year program consisting of 4 academic semesters.
 
Students earn 120 ECTS in total.
 
The tuition fee for this program is 7,500 USD/Year

Yes, Students should attend a 6-week field practice.

How can I enroll in the program?

The University of Debrecen admission process is designed for international applicants through an online interview. Studying at the University of Debrecen is the key to your internationally recognized degree. We also offer a variety of academic merit-based scholarships.

 

What are the language requirements for Environmental Sciences, MSc?

Applicants must have an English proficiency of at least Upper-Intermediate /B2 level as the program is fully taught in English. For your information, this is equivalent to:

  • a TOEFL test with a minimum score of 547 (Paper-Based).
  • an IELTS test with a minimum score of 6.0.

Please note, that you are not strictly required to have a language exam certificate, your language skills will be assessed during the entrance interview.

Please note that the MSc in Environmental Sciences, MSc operates on a single-intake academic calendar. This program starts in September of each year. The application deadline in the self-financed procedure is 15th June for the September intake.

How much does it cost to study Environmental Sciences, MSc at the University of Debrecen?

The tuition fee is 7,500 USD/year for this program.

This is supplemented by the application fee of $150 USD (one-time) and the entrance procedure fee of $350 USD that covers the examination and interview. Please note that the application and entrance procedure fees are non-refundable and must be paid via bank transfer to initiate the review process.
